And here's your action plan in a nutshell !
1/ Get a Domain name :
- I recommend using this provider
- Choose a name with your intended niche keyword if at all possible
- Try and stay away from .info etc., names.. Register a .com wherever possible
2/ Get a hosting account
- Free hosting is not recommended, however you can definitely start out on a budget.. read on..
- It is likely that you will want to create several sites as time goes by
- Being able to create multiple CPANEL accounts is imperative. This means you have a whole "space" (account) for each domain name business
- Beware the cheap providers who promise unlimited disk space. They usually manage this because they have proprietary control panel software. They promise you that you can host as many domains as you like. These are not separate cpanel-type accounts, and will lead to a lot of grief in the future for you. Some programs will not even run on them
- Here is a provider who gives you multi-cpanel accounts for very little money. It's a great way to start out, and we've tried and tested these accounts for 6 years now.

3/ Install Joomla
- Remember if you got a cpanel account with someone like the hosting company recommended above, then you just have to follow the instructions here... (Check back tomorrow and you'll see a full account here, step by step, on how to do it)
4/ Post "How To Use Joomla" Installation jobs
- Choose a template
- Set up your home page
- Turn things "on" and "off"
- Fill out content (create articles)
- Install the "must have" extensions
5/ Making your Joomla site work for you.. making money from your site (if that's a part of your intention)
- Setting up Adsense
- Setting up Clickbank offers..
